Birth Story #12

This story made me sad and happy at the same time. I read it at work and was trying not to cry.

It is long, but it is a good story for what you don’t want as a doctor, and how you can truly CHOOSE what you want in your labor.

  1. Gina’s story is amazing, isn’t it?

  2. What a strong woman! So many woman would have caved and given in. Good for her.Knowledge is power!

  3. I loved this story. Probably my favorite so far. I have to give props to the doula for not only making the woman feel comfortable instead of guilty for getting pain relief, but for being with her and encouraging and empowering her to get her VBAC. The support this woman got from those who really cared (and not the scary doctor) seemed a major part of the reason she had a successful VBAC. So awesome!

  4. Great story! It’s very uplifting despite the hardships this woman faced. I hope I can be as strong as she is when I go for my natural birth.
